Wellness Coaching
Corporate wellness programming has the potential to effect lasting, positive change when implemented correctly. In the 2024 Benefits Canada Healthcare Survey, education and awareness were highlighted as important for those navigating health challenges and coaching was identified by plan members as a support to which they would like to have access. By offering Health & Wellness coaching in the workplace, employees get personalized and meaningful solutions tailored to their needs, in a non-judgemental and supportive environment. A Health & Wellness Coach works with employees to help them:
envision what optimal wellbeing means on an individual level
discover what personal strengths they can harness to become as healthy as they desire
create and carry out the action plan needed to achieve their goals, and support them in working through obstacles they might encounter along the way.
Health & Wellness coaching can cover a variety of topics, such as nutritional wellbeing, physical wellbeing (including fitness and sleep), emotional wellbeing, mental wellbeing (including stress management and resiliency), as well as weight management. Success for the employee is most likely to be realized when meeting with their coach on a frequent basis, such as bi-weekly or monthly. This provides accountability, support from the coach and redirection if needed.
Lauren offers Corporate Health & Wellness Coaching in two formats: small group coaching, which can provide social support and group cohesion for participants, as well as 1-on-1 individual coaching. If geographically feasible, Lauren can offer her services onsite at the workplace, as well as online.
